Baltimore Ravens Defeats The Pittsburgh Steelers 35-7

The Pittsburgh Steelers was given their worst loss under the helm of Mike Tomlison. The Baltimore Ravens defeated them 35-7. Pittsburgh had a total of 7 turnovers, with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger throwing for 3 interceptions. Roethlisberger just seemed out of sink the entire day.

Baltimore was in control of this game from the start, with Ray Rice running the football for 36 yards on the very first play.He finished the game with107 yards and two touchdowns. In over 50 games, Pittsburgh had not allowed a 100 yard rusher. The last person to do it was Ray Rice.

Joe Flacco went 17-29 and added 3 Touchdowns of his own without throwing an interception. He looked very comfortable in the pocket today throwing the ball with confidence.

Baltimore snapped a Pittsburgh 8 game winning streak on season openers by giving them a dose of smash mouth football. It will be interesting to see how the Steelers will bounce back next week.

Does Joe Paterno Needs To Be Replaced At Penn State

The 23rd rank Penn State Nittany Lions loses to the Alabama Crimson Tide 27-11 , but that is not the issue. The question football fans have is, does Joe Paterno has what it takes to continue to coach? Penn State trailed the entire game, and just had no sense of urgency throughout this game.

The clock management during the first half was just horrible using all of their timeouts within the first few minutes of the game. The second half was even worse. Down by three scores in the fourth quarter, Penn State played as though they were ahead throughout this game. They took the play clock down to the last second on each play, and just looked lost on offense.

I've watched Penn State for years and have never seen them give up in a game. In this game versus Alabama they gave up. Now it was not the players that gave up, it was the coaches. It was as though they were trying to avoid a blow-out instead of playing the football game like they wanted to win.

Penn State does not have any chance this season if the coaching staff continue to coach this team the way they coached this game. I love Coach Paterno, but I think maybe it's time to get some fresh ideas at Penn State.

New Orleans Saints vs Green Bay Packers In The Season Opener

September 8, 2011, is a date that is marked on every football fan's calendar. It is the first NFL regular season game.
The game will be played by the previous 2 Superbowl Champs, New Orleans Saints vs Green Bay Packers. This game should be a back and forth game as we have 2 of the most explosive offenses in football. If you are one who like to put wagers on football, Las Vegas has Green Bay winning by 4 points.

What defense will show up will be the key to victory.Aaron Rogers is coming off a spectacular playoff and SuperBowl Championship. Will he have a Superbowl hangover remains to be seen.

My predition is Green Bay will win this game, but won't cover the 4 points...30-27

Baylor Defeats TCU 50-48

With all the College Football offseason scandals, it was great to start off the season with a wild and crazy upset.

Robert Griffin III, looked very impressive for Baylor in the season opener against last year, Rose Bowl Champions,TCU Hornfrogs. Griffin threw for 5 touchdowns and was 21-27 359yds.

Baylor was unstoppable in the first 3 quarters of the game, leading the Hornfrogs 47-23, but took a conservative approach in the 4th quarter, which led to a great comeback by the Hornfrogs.
TCU took a 48-47 lead after a fumble from Griffin with 4:27 remaining in the game.Griffin marched the team back down field to set up a Aaron Jones 37 yard field goal attempt. Jones makes the field goal with just 1:04 remaining in the game.

TCU moved the ball well in the last minute needing only about 10 yards to get into field-goal  range, but an interception by Hicks with 10 seconds, sealed the game for Baylor.

Kendall Wright caught 12 passes for 189 yards and two touchdowns. He also threw for a 40 yard touchdown. What a great way to start the season!

UNLV VS Wisconsin Starts The College Football Season

The number 11th rank Wisconsin Badgers host UNLV, in the start of the college football season for 2011.
Wisconsin is coming off a 11 win season, and finished 7th place in the Associated Press Poll, which will be their first Top 10 since 2006.

These same two teams opened last season with the Badgers beating the Rebels 41-21.This game should be no different. Look for the powerhouse of Wisconsin to run the ball at will against the Rebels.
It's time to start what should be a great College Football Season. I will keep you updated on the games throughout this season.
